Lisa Behrens has over 30 years of experience working with children and families. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, mood, and relationship challenges. Lisa offers psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families, using a relational and integrative approach grounded in psychodynamic principles. Her practice draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), General Psychiatric Management (GPM), and Attachment Theory.

Lisa has extensive experience supporting families navigating school and learning difficulties, ADHD, parenting struggles, and separation or divorce. She provides parent guidance and consultation to help manage and improve family dynamics.

Throughout her career, Lisa has worked in community mental health, Early Head Start, and private school counseling. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, and traveling.
